Veranthine was a city on the outskirts of Ferelden, close to Orlais. It was often said that it was a trading hub that rivaled the city of Denerim. After the Second Blight it was often attacked by raiders who would steal the cities merchandise. A group of Grey Wardens were sent to the city to train guards and recruit possible Grey Wardens. The Wardens helped increase the cities trade and economy. The city expanded in size due to this.
